Designing Adaptive Organizations – Insights from the Global Peter Drucker Forum

At the Global Drucker Forum I chaired a Deep Dive Dialogue on new leadership for the perpetually adaptive enterprise. In this article I reflect on why control based management is reaching its limits, how antifragile organizations rethink structure and governance, and why lasting adaptability depends on redesigning the operating system of the firm, not only on individual leadership skills.

Episode 10 – Should I Stay or Should AI Go?

When change arrives quietly through tension instead of ceremony, transformation begins to take root. In this season finale, Spark and Primus are joined by Emergentia and Changelo to map how organizations evolve into ecosystems through learning, feedback, and transparent alignment of the forces that shape organizational change.

Episode 9 – Ecosystems Got Talent

In Episode 9, Primus and Spark welcome Vee and EcoSym to explore how antifragile organizations outgrow their boundaries and start co-creating value across networks. Discover how internal service catalogues evolved into open marketplaces, how trust replaced hierarchy as the new operating system, and how governance by consent keeps ecosystems fair, adaptive, and alive.

Episode 8 – Agile Like a Hurricane

In episode 8, “Agile Like a Hurricane,” Spark and Primus connect via the ChronoTalk with Janka Krings-Klebe and Jörg Schreiner, authors of The Antifragile Organization. Together they unpack why principles beat playbooks when the world won’t sit still.

Episode 7 – Ctrl+Alt+Culture

In episode 7, Spark and Primus hit Ctrl+Alt+Culture with Aspeeranza, the Culture Weaver AI, and returning guest Professor Lexicon. Together they explore how antifragile organizations advance their culture through stories, rituals, feedback, and peer commitments.

Antifragile by Design: A Conversation on Governance, Autonomy and Ecosystem Organizations

In my conversation with Mike Jones on the Strategy Meets Reality podcast, we explored what it truly means to design antifragile organizations. We spoke about governance that guides rather than restricts, the balance of autonomy and accountability, and why innovation needs room to grow. It is a short but insightful look at how companies can strengthen their ability to learn and adapt.

Episode 6 – Stairway to Accountability

In episode 6, Spark and Primus climb the Stairway to Accountability. Joined by Complicarius, a historian of compliance labyrinths, and Vee, a champion of antifragile governance, they unravel how organizations move beyond rule-worship and into systems of trust, clarity, and shared purpose.

Making of Futureproof

When we started making Futureproof, we thought the hardest part would be writing scripts that make AIs sound funnier than the average management consultant. We were wrong.

Episode 5 – Highway to the Data Zone

In episode 5, Spark and Primus step onto the Highway to the Data Zone. With Coordina, architect of modular workflow libraries, and Flowchart Freddy, a nostalgic hologram from the era of sacred swimlanes, they explore how organizations ditched rigid, one-size-fits-all processes and embraced highly adaptive process frameworks.
