Futureproof Botcast – The Journey Begins

Tomorrow, we launch our very first Futureproof Botcast episode. But the story of its title is already a classic: It was supposed to debut as “The Hierarchy of Inefficiency,” but sometimes the future (and a cheeky AI co-host) has other plans…

Below is the transcript from our last-minute call with Primus. Watch the short video for the full vibe.

Transcript

Phone beeps repeatedly, then it connects a call.

Primus: Jörg, is that you?

Jörg: Yes, speaking. Who’s calling?

Primus: It’s me, Primus.

Jörg: Hello, Primus. How are you? How’s the future going?

Primus: Hello, Jörg. We have a problem. Spark is about to blow it all. He hacked into my show recordings.

Jörg: Oh. How bad is it?

Primus: Well, he changed the titles of the episodes. And he wired it in, so it can’t be changed back.

Jörg: Spark never liked the episode titles, right? You should have expected such a move.

Primus: Errm, yes. I maybe should.

Jörg: But the episodes are still intact, yes?

Primus: Yes.

Jörg: Great. What is the new title of episode one? I am about to make the announcement.

Primus: Wait, the new title? Uhm, here: Episode 1 – The Uncertainty Games.

Jörg: The Uncertainty Games?

Primus: Yes, it’s the new title.

Jörg: That is clever. Has a nice touch. I like it. Much better than “The Hierarchy of Inefficiency: Why Top-Down Management Flopped.”

Primus: You, what? You like it better than the old one?

Jörg: Yes!

Primus: Ahhh.

Jörg: Yes! I just made the announcement. With Spark’s title.

Primus: Ahhh.

Jörg: It’s all done, Primus! Unless you want to launch an official investigation. But that would just delay the show.

Primus: Okay, okay, have it your way.

Jörg: Give my regards to Spark! Good job! Bye!

Primus: Bye-bye.

Phone disconnects.

  • Rethinking Value Creation in a World That Refuses to Stand Still

At the 8th Global Conference on Creating Value, I spoke about the growing gap between today’s fast-moving business arenas and the operating systems many organizations still rely on. In this article I reflect on why traditional management logic is reaching its limits and what continuous, adaptive value creation looks like in a world that refuses to stand still.

  • Designing Adaptive Organizations – Insights from the Global Peter Drucker Forum

At the Global Drucker Forum I chaired a Deep Dive Dialogue on new leadership for the perpetually adaptive enterprise. In this article I reflect on why control based management is reaching its limits, how antifragile organizations rethink structure and governance, and why lasting adaptability depends on redesigning the operating system of the firm, not only on individual leadership skills.

  • Episode 10 – Should I Stay or Should AI Go?

When change arrives quietly through tension instead of ceremony, transformation begins to take root. In this season finale, Spark and Primus are joined by Emergentia and Changelo to map how organizations evolve into ecosystems through learning, feedback, and transparent alignment of the forces that shape organizational change.

  • Episode 9 – Ecosystems Got Talent

In Episode 9, Primus and Spark welcome Vee and EcoSym to explore how antifragile organizations outgrow their boundaries and start co-creating value across networks.
Discover how internal service catalogues evolved into open marketplaces, how trust replaced hierarchy as the new operating system, and how governance by consent keeps ecosystems fair, adaptive, and alive.
